I'm thankful for having had a dry night for trick-or-treating and for chaperoning two responsible 10-year-olds who politely thanked each candy-giver and didn't squabble when it was time to end the night.
This year we trick-or-treated for the first time since moving back to AK; it was pouring rain - something we'd never experienced in Oregon. Cold, yes. Drizzle, yes. But never downpour and winds on Halloween. Q was excited. "We got to trunk-or-treat AND trick-or-treat this year." I asked him, "Do you ever want to trick-or-treat in the rain again?" His answer was an unequivocal, "No."
